ACTA DE RESULTADOS Y GANADORES
DE LA ELECCIÓN DE PRESIDENTE, VICEPRESIDENTE Y SECRETARIO DE LOS CAPITULOS TECNICOS IEEE ECUADOR
En concordancia con el Capítulo 9.6.F del Manual de Operaciones Member and Geographic Activities de IEEE, y habiendo transcurrido el proceso electoral conforme al calendario de elecciones; el Comité de Nominaciones y Elecciones de IEEE Sección Ecuador integrada por Julio Barzola (Presidente), Miriam Lucero (Vicepresidenta) y Viviana Villavicencio (secretaria), luego de las boletas tabuladas por el sistema IEEE Voting, se procede a la proclamación de los candidatos ganadores luego que el mencionado sistema cerrara el periodo de votaciones el 26 de diciembre a las 23:59, horario ecuatoriano, de acuerdo al siguiente detalle:

Víctor Steven Rodríguez Cabrera Nació en la ciudad de Guayaquil, Ecuador recibió su título de Ingeniero en Ciencias Computacionales en la Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) en la ciudad de Guayaquil en el año 2016. Ha colaborado activamente como miembro y voluntario IEEE de la Rama Estudiantil IEEE-ESPOL desde el año 2011 ocupando los cargos de Computer Society Student Chair (2013) y Vice-presidente de la Rama Estudiantil IEEE-ESPOL (2015). Se ha desempeñado como Embajador de IEEEXtreme en las ediciones 8.0, 9.0 y 10.0 correspondiente a los años de 2014 al 2016 y Embajador de IEEEMadC en el año 2014. Formó parte de la Organización de la XIX Reunión Regional de Ramas (RRR) llevaba a cabo en la ciudad de Guayaquil en el año 2016 como Co-organizador, Webmaster y Diseñador. Actualmente forma parte del SAC Team IEEE R9, Coordinador del Comité Promotor de IEEEXtreme Ecuador y como diseñador en IEEE Student Branches Industry Program (ISBIR) de R9. |

Francisco Novillo Parales Received his PhD in Signal Theory and Communication, and a Master degree in Mobile Communication from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona –Spain, a Master in Telecommunication Business Management, and the Engineer of Telecommunications degree from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) in Guayaquil–Ecuador. From 2001, he is an Associate Professor of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, and since 2013 head of the Mobile Communications Research Group (GICOM) at the ESPOL. The current topics of research are focused on radio resource managements, opportunistic spectrum access, cognitive radio and radar systems. |

Diego Luis Ortiz Morales Nació en Ibarra en el año de 1965, se graduó de Ingeniero Mecánico en la Escuela Politécnica Nacional de la Ciudad de Quito en el año 1994, además tiene una Maestría de la Docencia de la Matemática en la Universidad Técnica del Norte de la Ciudad de Ibarra en el año 2003. Trabaja como docente en la Facultad de Ingeniería en Ciencias Aplicadas, desde el año 2013 es el Coordinador de la Carrera de Ingeniería en Mecatrónica, ha sido Presidente de la Asociación de Profesores de la UTN. donde ha impulsado a los estudiantes a realizar proyectos enfocados en el desarrollo local y nacional. En el año 2015 se une al IEEE, para la creación del Capitulo Técnico RAS, donde ha trabajo arduamente por el posicionamiento nacional del capítulo, con proyectos integradores entre docentes, investigadores y estudiantes. Actualmente también es el Presidente de la Red de Carreras de Mecatronica. |

Mónica Huerta Received her PhD degree in Telematic Engineering from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Spain, in 2006 with the distinction of Cum-laude. Also she received her MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering and her BS degree in Electrical Engineer from Simon Bolivar University (USB), Venezuela, in 1999 and 1994 respectively. Between 2008 and 2010 she did two postdoctoral studies, one at the UPC and another at the University of Veracruz, Mexico. In 2010, she was awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship from the European Community to carry out research activities at the University of Barcelona, Spain. She was full Professor, Dean of postgraduate studies and Coordinator of the Doctorate in Engineering at USB. She is the founder of Networks and Telematics group in USB. She is a senior member of the IEEE, and belongs at Women in Engineering, Communications and Engineering in Medicine and Biology societies. In 2014 she worked as a researcher at the Armed Forces University in Latacunga, Ecuador, and in 2015-16 at the Salesian Polytechnic University in Cuenca, Ecuador, both under the PROMETEO program of SENESCYT – Ecuador. Her research focuses on wireless networks, wireless sensor networks and telemedicine. She has directed and participated in more than 25 research projects. She has published more than 100 articles in magazines and national and international congresses. |
