The talk “Architectures and Protocols in Sensor Networks: A Journey Through Communication Technologies” is planned in three sessions aimed at students and members of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CAS) chapter at Yachay Tech, combining theory and practice with the use of Raspberry Pi devices. Session 1 (February 27, 2025, 2.5 hours): Introduction to sensor networks, their architectures, and communication technologies such as Zigbee, LoRaWAN, Bluetooth Low Energy, and Wi-Fi. Session 2 (February 28, 2025, 2.5 hours): Communication and routing protocols, energy management, technical challenges, and real-world applications of sensor networks.
