STAR Program

The Student-Teacher and Research Engineer/Scientist or STAR program is divided into the two academic semesters. The first event, in this context called the STAR Briefings, held during the spring semester expects high school students to arrive for a series of briefings on most of the engineering fields offered at our campus, University of Puerto Rico – Mayaguez Campus. The second part of the STAR program, in this context called the STAR Workshops will be held during the fall semester, expecting high school students to attend workshops offered by volunteer students to introduce a more technical side of the different engineering fields mentioned and discussed in the first part.
