WIE Week & WIE Day ESPOL 2026
El WIE Week & WIE Day ESPOL 2026 es un evento académico, técnico y recreativo que busca integrar a estudiantes de distintas universidades del país, promoviendo la participación en ingeniería, el trabajo en equipo y el desarrollo profesional. Con el objetivo de ampliar el impacto del tradicional WIE Day, se propone una semana completa de actividades (WIE Week), culminando con un evento principal el día sábado, donde se recibirán delegaciones de diferentes ciudades del Ecuador. Agenda: Semana WIE (22 - 26 de junio) Durante la semana, los distintos capítulos IEEE de ESPOL organizarán actividades diarias, entre ellas: - Charlas técnicas y conferencias. - Actividades prácticas y talleres. - Conversatorios y mesas redondas. - Actividades recreativas (como pintura en lienzos). - Espacios de integración con bocaditos y café para los asistentes. Cada día estará a carga de un capítulo diferente, promoviendo la diversidad de temas y enfoques dentro de la ingeniería. M.A.N.A.S (MULHERES AMAPAENSES NAS ÁREAS DE STEM)
O M.A.N.A.S (Mulheres Amapaenses nas Áreas de STEM) é um projeto colaborativo que reúne iniciativas como o IEEE WIE UNIFAP, Meninas na Computação e Projeto Minerva, com o propósito de incentivar, fortalecer e dar visibilidade à participação feminina nas áreas de Ciência, Tecnologia, Engenharia e Matemática no Amapá. Mais do que um evento, o M.A.N.A.S se consolida como um espaço de troca de experiências, aprendizado e inspiração, promovendo palestras, oficinas e rodas de conversa que conectam conhecimento acadêmico, mercado e sociedade. Ao longo de suas edições, o projeto tem abordado temas atuais e relevantes. A 2ª edição trouxe o tema “M.A.N.A.S na Cidade”, destacando a relação entre as áreas de STEM e o desenvolvimento urbano. Já a 3ª edição discutiu “Sustentabilidade e Inovações Tecnológicas”, evidenciando o papel da ciência na construção de soluções para desafios ambientais. Na 4ª edição, com o tema “Construindo o Amanhã: Explorando as Tecnologias do Futuro”, o foco esteve nas tendências tecnológicas e suas aplicações. A 5ª edição, “Crise Climática: O Futuro da Amazônia”, reforçou a importância da atuação científica e tecnológica frente às questões ambientais e regionais. Dando continuidade a essa trajetória, a 6ª edição do M.A.N.A.S, que acontecerá no dia 23 de junho de 2026, traz como tema “Tecnologias que Transformam”. WIE Day: Voices that Inspire
As part of the IEEE WIE Day celebration, WIE Day: Voices That Inspire is presented, an initiative aimed at strengthening the sense of purpose, motivation, and belonging within the engineering community, with a special emphasis on women's empowerment. The event consists of a digital contest in which participants will share, through a video, the reasons and vision behind their decision to study engineering. The most creative video will be awarded a full IEEE Student Membership prize, which will be delivered during the in-person WIE Day celebration. This gathering will feature an interactive networking brunch and a hands-on workshop where participants will design and paint customized WIE flower-themed tote bags as a collaborative team-building and stress-management exercise. This gathering will feature leading figures who will address the pillars: Innovate Responsibly, Inspire Globally, and Lead with Integrity. The central objective is to inspire and encourage the participation of women in purpose-driven technologies, fully aligning with WIE's global mission. Este evento forma parte de la WIE Week 2026 organizada por la IEEE ESPOL Student Branch. Durante este primer día se llevarán a cabo dos actividades en colaboración con diferentes capítulos técnicos. La primera actividad, "On Air: Crónicas de una Ingeniera Real" (GRSS x OES), será una charla enfocada en compartir experiencias reales de mujeres en ingeniería, destacando desafíos, crecimiento y desarrollo profesional. El panel WIE dentro de la conferencia PEDG2026 "Power Electronics for Distributed Generation Systems" tiene como foco principal generar visibilidad de las mujeres dentro de el área de Power Electronics, tanto investigadoras como mujeres en la industria y compartir la trayectoria de las panelistas a lo largo de sus carreras . Además de generar espacios de networking para fortalecer los vínculos entre estudiantes participantes de la conferencia y mujeres en la industria. Al estar en el inicio de los WIEDays, se establecerá un espacio donde los grupos de afinidad WIE de diversas universidades podrán compartir su trayectoria. La celebración del IEEE Way Day 2026 por parte de la Sección Puebla se llevará el viernes 26 de junio en La Benemérica Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP). Habrá Bootcamp de liderazgo personal, en su segunda edición, y una charla de liderazgo con propósito. En el Bootcamp de liderazgo personal, las participantes identifican su estilo de liderazgo y adquieren herramientas inmediatas para expresarse, influir, participar activamente. WIE Connect: Coffee & Talk
The event will consist of a presentation and discussion session focused on promoting WIE (Women in Engineering) and the IEEE, with the aim of informing participants about their objectives, areas of activity, and opportunities for academic and professional development, as well as encouraging greater engagement with initiatives related to engineering and technology. The program will be structured as an informative lecture, creating an accessible and welcoming environment to answer questions, share experiences, and promote interaction among participants. In addition to the institutional presentation, the event will include interactive activities, the distribution of giveaways, and a prize drawing to strengthen audience engagement and participation. At the end of the event, a coffee break will be offered, providing an opportunity for networking and socializing that encourages connections among participants, members, and interested parties, while also strengthening the academic and professional community linked to WIE and IEEE. O IEEE WIE Day é um evento global que celebra e fortalece a presença feminina nas engenharias e nas ciências. Em sua edição na UFRN, o evento busca inspirar a liderança feminina, promover a valorização profissional, estimular a integração entre estudantes e profissionais do mercado, e contribuir para ofortalecimento institucional das áreas de STEM. A programação contempla palestras, workshops, mentorias e uma feira de exposição. IEEE WIE EPN proudly presents: WIE Next Gen: Builders of the Future Under the global theme of WIE Day 2026, “Technology with Purpose: Innovate Responsibly, Inspire Globally, Lead with Integrity,” this event is designed to go beyond conversations about technology. It will focus on the impact we choose to create with it and how we intentionally build solutions that serve society. WIE Next Gen: Builders of the Future is an immersive experience that brings together students, future professionals, and inspiring women in STEM to explore how technology can be leveraged as a force for meaningful social and humanitarian change. Through authentic stories, thought discussions, and engaging activities, participants will gain insight into responsible innovation, ethical decision making, and leadership. The event features a dynamic combination of talks, a panel discussion on technology and ethics, and experiential learning segments. These include a real world ethical case analysis (“What Would You Do?”), a collaborative innovation challenge (“Build with Purpose”) where participants design technology driven solutions to social challenges, and a themed Kahoot session that reinforces key concepts on digital ethics, technology, and the role of women in STEM through an interactive and high energy format. Attendees will not only learn from accomplished women in STEM, but also actively engage in conversations, exchange ideas, and reflect on their own responsibility in shaping the future of technology with purpose.
