El WIE Week & WIE Day ESPOL 2026 es un evento académico, técnico y recreativo que busca integrar a estudiantes de distintas universidades del país, promoviendo la participación en ingeniería, el trabajo en equipo y el desarrollo profesional. Con el objetivo de ampliar el impacto del tradicional WIE Day, se propone una semana completa de actividades (WIE Week), culminando con un evento principal el día sábado, donde se recibirán delegaciones de diferentes ciudades del Ecuador. Agenda: Semana WIE (22 - 26 de junio) Durante la semana, los distintos capítulos IEEE de ESPOL organizarán actividades diarias, entre ellas: - Charlas técnicas y conferencias. - Actividades prácticas y talleres. - Conversatorios y mesas redondas. - Actividades recreativas (como pintura en lienzos). - Espacios de integración con bocaditos y café para los asistentes. Cada día estará a carga de un capítulo diferente, promoviendo la diversidad de temas y enfoques dentro de la ingeniería. As part of the IEEE WIE Day celebration, WIE Day: Voices That Inspire is presented, an initiative aimed at strengthening the sense of purpose, motivation, and belonging within the engineering community, with a special emphasis on women's empowerment. The event consists of a digital contest in which participants will share, through a video, the reasons and vision behind their decision to study engineering. The most creative video will be awarded a full IEEE Student Membership prize, which will be delivered during the in-person WIE Day celebration. This gathering will feature an interactive networking brunch and a hands-on workshop where participants will design and paint customized WIE flower-themed tote bags as a collaborative team-building and stress-management exercise. This gathering will feature leading figures who will address the pillars: Innovate Responsibly, Inspire Globally, and Lead with Integrity. The central objective is to inspire and encourage the participation of women in purpose-driven technologies, fully aligning with WIE's global mission. O IEEE WIE Day é um evento global que celebra e fortalece a presença feminina nas engenharias e nas ciências. WIE DAY IEEE EPN 2026: "WIE Next Gen: Builders of the Future" is an initiative organized by the IEEE Women in Engineering Chapter at Escuela Politécnica Nacional, a space built for connection, learning, and inspiration, designed for students, professionals, and allies who believe in a more inclusive and socially driven tech community. Our theme this year is "Technology with Purpose". The event spans three in-person sessions, June 24, 26, and 27, 2026, in Quito, Ecuador. We're bringing people together to talk about leadership, to share real stories, and to grow as a community that's serious about getting more women into engineering and technology. We designed the program to cover different aspects of personal and professional development, and each day has its own focus. Day one is about social awareness, well-being, and the conversations we don't always make time for but matter to our communities. Day two is all about learning from women who are already out there doing incredible things in tech, cybersecurity, and innovation, real career paths, real challenges, real opportunities. Day three is where things get hands-on: creative challenges, team activities, networking, and the kind of energy that reminds you why you started. Something we're especially excited about: the whole event will have a gamification layer running through it. Attendees collect points across activities, which makes the experience more interactive, more fun, and more memorable.
