IEEE MOVE Interested Group Form
We are delighted with your interest in joining the IEEE MOVE Community Outreach initiative. The MOVE program is looking for qualified volunteers who not only have a deep passion for humanitarian work but also the expertise, wisdom and time to commit in support of the program. We are currently seeking candidates for leadership positions of committees and working groups for our global program expansion. Currently we are looking for volunteers in support of our programs in Puerto Rico. We realize that few people have the ability to extensively volunteer to a program such as ours. It is through the diverse efforts of committee members, each contribution their time and resources as they are able, in a combined effort that allows us to address the many programmatic needs. This roundtable brings together PhD students in Micro and Nanotechnologies to share their experiences, perspectives, and visions for the future of science and engineering. Description (Descrição) English Version: Join us for an inspiring roundtable discussion entitled "Impact Trajectories: Women in Science, Technology, and Industry." This event aims to bridge the gap between academia and the marketplace by sharing the professional journeys of four distinguished women leaders. The session will be structured as follows: - Career Spotlights: Each guest speaker from research, education, and industry will have 15 minutes to present their career trajectory, challenges, and key achievements. - Open Dialogue & Q&A: Following the presentations, the floor will be open for a collaborative debate. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, share experiences, and discuss the nuances of navigating these professional fields. This is a great opportunity for networking and gaining insights into career development and the empowerment of women in technical fields. O evento tem como objetivo celebrar o Dia Internacional da Mulher e o nono aniversário do grupo de afinidade WIE na Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB). Para marcar a ocasião, será realizada uma tarde de atividades integradas, com foco em capacitação técnica, debate e troca de experiências. O programa será dividido em três momentos. O primeiro contará com uma oficina introdutória de robótica, ministrada pela liga RobWIE, proporcionando uma primeira experiência com conceitos-chave e aplicações práticas na área. Em seguida, haverá um painel de discussão intitulado “A Importância e o Impacto das Mulheres na Tecnologia”, com convidados da comunidade acadêmica e da indústria tecnológica local. Por fim, o evento será encerrado com uma oficina sobre uma abordagem orientada por dados, apresentada pela liga de automação WIEPY, destacando o uso de dados na tomada de decisões. A iniciativa busca fortalecer a participação feminina na tecnologia, promover a integração entre ensino, prática e discussão social, e celebrar a trajetória e o impacto da participação feminina na universidade.
