IT Expedition is an initiative led by volunteers from the joint chapter between the Computer and Communications Society and the IEEE student branch of the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. This program marks the first time we offer half-day technical visits exclusively for our university chapter members, with two visits planned for this year. The first visit is scheduled for mid-April at the Barranquilla Mayor's Office, where participants will tour various departments within the Secretariat of Planning—particularly the IT department. During this visit, students will have the opportunity to observe operations related to IT support, server administration, and more, as well as receive a comprehensive presentation on the suite of software solutions developed at the Mayor's Office to address urban challenges. The second visit, planned for the second semester of the year between September and October, is to Claro, where members will gain further exposure to industry practices and the latest in technology. At the event titled "RAS Journey of Collaboration and Knowledge", the IEEE RAS competition team from the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB) met with members of the IEEE RAS from SENAI CIMATEC. The gathering provided an opportunity for both teams to share experiences, discuss ongoing projects, and explore possibilities for collaboration in future competitions and robotics initiatives. Armenia-Quindío-Colombia will be the venue for the 4th IEEE Colombian BioCAS (ColBioCAS) Workshop 2025. This workshop is a joint event between the IEEE Colombian Chapters of the Circuits and Systems (CAS) and the Engineering Medicine and Biology (EMB) Societies that aims to present the progress and development of the academic, scientific, and industrial usage of bioengineering technologies for monitoring, controlling, and aiding biological systems, ecosystems, crops, and the human body. The workshop is organized in conferences and mini-courses with experts, and the exchange of ideas and solutions proposed by researchers, students and professionals.
