IT Expedition is an initiative led by volunteers from the joint chapter between the Computer and Communications Society and the IEEE student branch of the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. This program marks the first time we offer half-day technical visits exclusively for our university chapter members, with two visits planned for this year. The first visit is scheduled for mid-April at the Barranquilla Mayor's Office, where participants will tour various departments within the Secretariat of Planning—particularly the IT department. During this visit, students will have the opportunity to observe operations related to IT support, server administration, and more, as well as receive a comprehensive presentation on the suite of software solutions developed at the Mayor's Office to address urban challenges. The second visit, planned for the second semester of the year between September and October, is to Claro, where members will gain further exposure to industry practices and the latest in technology. - Temática y reglamentos La copa tesla es una competencia para los estudiantes de la UIS, en ella se evalúan los conocimientos adquiridos a lo largo del semestre en la materia de circuitos eléctricos II. El valor de entrada a la competencia es de $10.000 COP La implementación de equipos electrónicos supone la eliminación del grupo en la competencia. - Razón social La Rama estudiantil IEEE UIS es una entidad adscrita a la escuela de ingenierías Eléctrica, Electrónica y Telecomunicaciones (E3T) de la universidad Industrial de Santander, la cual se enfoca en promover el desarollo integro de los futuros profesionales, apuntando a las áreas del conocimiento que están a la vanguardia de la tecnología. En busca de incentivar a los estudiantes a adquirir y fortalecer su entendimiento en la asignatura: "Análisis de Circuitos Eléctricos", la rama estudiantil IEEE UIS ha venido realizando una serie de competencias que forman parte del programa "Olimpiadas Académicas", con las cuales se pretende cumplir los siguientes objetivos: - Brindar un espacio a los estudiantes para demostrar sus habilidades y conocimientos adquiridos durante su proceso de formación en las asignaturas de interés (Circuitos Eléctricos). - Promover a los estudiantes en la adquisición de saberes relacionados con la asignatura de interés. - Otorgar un reconocimiento a los estudiantes que demuestren un mayor entendimiento y mejorar destreza cognitiva en la asignatura. Este evento lleva un legado de más de 5 años y estamos interesados en seguir desarrollandolo. Agenda: - (11:30 PM) - Registro El momento antes del inicio de la competencia es de suma vitalidad, este decidirá - (12:10 PM) Primera Fase Para la primera fase organizamos a los estudiantes en grupos de 3 personas, dichos grupos se pueden construir con anterioridad y si no se tiene uno se les puede asignar. Luego de tener claros los grupos, responderán un kahoot en tiempo real, el kahoot calificara 2 aspectos, la respuesta correcta y la velocidad con la que está se contestó. Se escogerá un porcentaje de los grupos con mayor puntuación para que pasen a la siguiente fase y los demás quedarán descalificados. - (12:40 PM) Segunda Fase Empieza la fase de enfrentamientos grupales, 2 equipos estarán realizando las mismas preguntas por un periodo de 3 minutos cada ronda, a cada grupo se le entregará un banco de parciales que deberán dividirse entre los integrantes. La metodología de calificación es quien entregué la respuesta correcta primero ganará, en caso de que no se entreguen todas las respuestas al finalizar el tiempo la primera forma de descarte será el grupo que más preguntas realizó, la segunda forma de descarte será el grupo quién las entregó primero. - (1:20 PM) Tercera Fase Se disolverán los grupos y dará inicio la última fase, se les entregará un parcial sencillo, los primeros 3 que lo entreguen de manera correcta, serán los ganadores de esta edición 2025-1.
