The proposed thematic focus is “Women Leading Purpose-Driven Innovation: From University to Global Impact.” This theme will be developed through key areas such as responsible and ethical technology, women’s leadership in STEM, inspiring leadership stories, mentoring, community outreach activities, and the role of IEEE WIE in creating academic, professional, and leadership opportunities for young women. To develop this proposal, two days of events will be held, on July 2 and July 7. On July 2, we will host a Leadership Storytelling event, where women will share their personal and professional journeys in engineering and technology. The proposal is to invite young women who previously participated in IEEE Women in Engineering initiatives at UFCG to share how this experience influenced their academic paths, professional opportunities, and leadership development. This session will also aim to inspire and encourage more women and students to explore, enter, and remain in careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. On July 7, we will hold technical talks and an Arduino workshop, focused on introducing young women students to technology, programming, and electronic prototyping. The activity will be led by women role models and leaders, who will share their knowledge in a practical and accessible way. The main target audience will be students who have recently entered the university, especially first-year women students, with the goal of encouraging their interest in engineering, strengthening their confidence, and showing that they can also occupy leadership spaces in technology. This program aims to connect inspiring experiences, technical training, and female representation, promoting an environment of learning, support, and encouragement for women to remain and grow in STEM. "Re-Constructing You: WIE" is an immersive in-person workshop designed for the university community in Quito, specifically focusing on students in technical fields. The event aims to shift the academic culture from "extreme sacrifice" to "strategic well-being management." The session is structured into three dynamic blocks: - The Wall of Burdens: A physical catharsis activity to identify academic pressures and success myths. - "Stories Behind the Limit" Talk: A multidisciplinary panel featuring faculty and students to normalize vulnerability and failure in academia. - "Hacking Stress" Workshop: A practical session led by a specialized psychologist in stress management, providing technical tools for resilience and emotional regulation. The goal is to provide an "emotional first-aid kit" and strengthen the inter-institutional support network, celebrating WIE identity through healthy persistence.
