Chair of the GRSS Student Chapter delivers a talk for Engineering Students at FURB
The Chair of the Brazil'GRSS Chapter, Prof. Dr. Veraldo Liesenberg delivered on August 29 a Short Course on Airborne LIDAR data processing for a motivated group of 25 graduate and undergraduate students at the Regional University of Blumenau (FURB). On August 30, Prof. Liesenberg delivered a special talk under the Topic "How a Young Engineer can benefit from Remote Sensing and GIS technologies?". He tooks the opportunity to dedicate some time talking about the benefits of being member of scientific societies while being a students as well as opportunities for webinars, online lectures and travel grants. An interesting discussion was promoted by inviting the Prof. Marcos Longo, currently a Junior Professor at the Uppsala University in Sweden. He also shared his own experience during his both undergraduate and graduate period in which remote sensing and GIS played a very important role in his professional career.
