Final year Electrical Engineering student at the Federal University of Bahia (Salvador, Bahia, Brazil) and Research and Development intern for the electrical power systems products at a company in the electrical sector.
She has been a member of IEEE since 2020 and has played various roles throughout her career. She was Chair of the WIE UFBA (2020), Chair of the PES Student Branch Chapter (2021 and 2022) and IEEE UFBA Student Branch Chair (2023), R9 Women in Power Representative from Northeast Brazil Section (2022-2023), Northeast Brazil Section Section Student Representative (2022 and 2023). Currently she acts as Interim Chair of the Northeast Brazil Section Student Activities Committee.
During her time at IEEE, she received some notable awards, such as the IEEE PES Outstanding Volunteer Award, Women in Engineering Outstanding Volunteer and “Antônio Bastos” Exemplary volunteer from Northeast Brazil Section. At a global level, she won the 2022 IEEE Women in Engineering Inspiring Student Member of the Year Award. She also received a PES R9 scholarship to attend PES leader training in Colombia in 2023.
