About Us
For the IEEE students are an essential part of the organization, which is why the Student Activities Committee (SAC) which allows you to get to know their needs, interests and concerns; making it possible for the development of student activities and of its members.
The Regional Committee of Student Activities (R9 SAC Team), has the role of providing policy guidance and coordination, when it is requested and is trained to do this, the Student Branches in the whole activity of these, its directors, advisers, technical chapters and their mentors. The Committee also makes specific recommendations to the Regional Committee on awards and recognition to be given to student members, Student Branches and other volunteers related to the student activity.
This committee is headed by the President of the Regional Committee of Student Activities (RSAC, Regional Student Activities Chair), a Student Representative of the Region (RSR, Regional Student Representative appointed by the Regional Director, who are also members of the Regional Executive Committee and the Committee of Student Activities of AMS.
The RSAC is responsible for selecting its team of outstanding student volunteers and professionals in the Region 9 that work for the benefit of the IEEE student community in the region.

- Develop activities that promote the knowledge and practice of technical topics.
- Develop activities that promote research.
- Develop activities to train in areas of soft skills (Soft skills).
- To provide training in the use of tools and programs of the IEEE.
- Promote new competitions and projects that allow them to publicize their activities and projects to the community.
