Danny Xie is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science at the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering and his interested are applied machine learning and deep learning. With a background in data engineering and data science consulting.
Since 2018, Danny has been an active contributor to the IEEE community. He served as the Student Branch Chair and Student Branch Chapter Chair at the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica, and participated as a volunteer in notable Latin American conferences, including the IEEE Latin American Electron Devices Conference and IEEE International Conference on BioInspired Processing. Additionally, he assumed the role of Student Activities Committee Chair in Costa Rica (2022-2023). Currently, Danny holds the position of Student Representative for Region 9 (2024-2025), to foster collaboration and facilitating growth within the IEEE community in the region 9.
