About the Industry Ambassadors Program

IEEE Region 9 is strengthening its connection with industry across Latin America. The goal is to expand relevance and create more value for professionals working beyond academia.

Today, industry members are still underrepresented in IEEE, especially in areas such as solutions, deployment, applications, and operations. This creates a clear opportunity to build stronger connections and increase engagement.

The IEEE Region 9 Industry Ambassadors Program 2026 is a strategic initiative led by the Industry Engagement Committee. It focuses on bringing IEEE closer to industry through practical and meaningful engagement.

Through a hybrid model that combines virtual and in-person sessions, ambassadors will:

  • Lead conversations on relevant industry topics
  • Engage professionals within their organizations and networks
  • Promote IEEE as a platform for professional growth and collaboration
  • Strengthen relationships between IEEE and companies

Outcome: A stronger and more connected IEEE presence across the region.

Goals and Objectives

The program strengthens the connection between IEEE and industry across Region 9, increasing relevance, visibility, and long-term engagement.

Focus for 2026: measurable growth and real impact.

  • Increase participation in IEEE activities
