Roxana Saint-Nom

Chair

Telecommunications Electrical Engineer with post-graduate studies in Speech Signal Processing. 25 years of academic career at ITBA, a prestigious Argentinian University. 8 years in Industry, as a consultant and Project Manager oriented to the development of technological products involving Software, AI, and Hardware. IEEE volunteer involved in several leadership positions at Argentina Section, Women in Engineering, and Signal Processing Society.

Rodrigo García Osorio

Programs (Ambassadors & Senior Members) Coordinator

In the IEEE Guadalajara Section, Rodrigo supports student branches with webinars, in-person workshops, conferences, and visits to the region’s electrical energy substations, the latter in coordination with the PES professional chapter. It also establishes strategic alliances with universities in the metropolitan region of Guadalajara to promote recreational activities that promote development and change of mentality with a focus on innovation.

Juan Fernando Galindo

Events & Awards Coordinator

Juan Fernando Galindo is an Electronics Engineer from the Pontifical Bolivarian University in Medellin, Colombia. He has a Master’s Degree in Technology from theSchool of Technology of the University of Campinas, Brazil. He is currently a PhD. in Technology Candidate at the same institution. He is also the Founder of Vita Tecnologia, a Brazilian corporation focused on improving access to healthcare through technological solutions. Juan is experienced in Infrastructure and IT in healthcare and finance. He is also experienced in the public sector and has worked as a faculty lecturer.

He began as an IEEE Volunteer in the Medellin Subsection in 2008, being in charge of getting the assignments for its creation. Then, in 2009, he became the Secretary of the Subsection, being as well the Executive Director of Latincom 2009. He also created the Young Professionals affinity group of the Subsection in 2012. He also participated in the Organizing Committee of other events done by the Medellin Subsection, such as ISGTLA 2011 and the Students Regional Meeting of 2013. Juan has been volunteering in Region 9 since 2015, being part of the Translation Team of NoticIEEEro until 2021, and also, as part of this committee.

Gabrielle Silva

Visibility & Marketing Coordinator

Gabrielle Silva is a Consultant at the Brazilian Telecommunication Company (TIM Brasil) in the Technology evolution team. She is an Electrical Engineer with an emphasis in Telecommunications from the State University of Rio de Janeiro – UERJ and a member of the IEEE since 2013.

She is currently also Secretary of the Rio de Janeiro Section and participated as Chair of the “Women In Engineering -WIE” of the Rio de Janeiro Section in the year 2020-2021, an affinity group aimed at encouraging women in STEM careers. Participating in WIE, she had the opportunity to be the general coordinator of the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Summits (ILS) event, providing regional opportunities to foster networking, mentorship, and collaboration. In 2019 an honorable mention at the IEEE Larry K. Wilson award for his trajectory as a volunteer student and member of the IEEE at UERJ and the Rio de Janeiro Section.

Jonas Pesente

Ambassador and Outreach Industry Partnership

Jonas Pesente received D.Eng. in power systems in 2018 and is currently a Senior Engineer at Itaipu Power Plant, where he works with electrical studies, power system protection adjustment and control tuning.

Carlos Alexandre

Webmaster Support

Carlos Alexandre is a highly motivated currently pursuing a degree in Computational Engineering. As an active member of the IEEE Student Group in Minas Gerais Section, he holds the position of coordinator for the organization’s various activities, including the planning and execution of Brazil’s largest student and young professionals event in the IEEE community.
