Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/367339

Resumen I have observed deceptive marketing statements by the media, politicians, and environmental movement since 1970, leading me to question “The Science”. The techniques of Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) and Lying with Statistics are used daily in the press. The 2021 Book, “Unsettled” by Steven E. Koonin, a former Under Secretary of Science at the Department of Energy during the Obama administration, provides a significantly more detailed review of Climate Science and recommendations by this field expert. In this talk, I summarize the book along with extensive data graphs extracted by the author from UN IPPCC and National Climate Assessment reports. Disertante: David Bondurant Now a retired Professional Engineer, David Bondurant has been involved with the computer and semiconductor industry for 50 years. He was a computer architect at Control Data, Sperry-Univac, and Honeywell. He was involved with the government-sponsored advanced semiconductor program called VHSIC (Very High-Speed Integrated Circuits) at Univac & Honeywell where he developed microprocessor and ASIC semiconductor products in bipolar CML, CMOS, and radiation hard CMOS. He was involved with emerging non-volatile RAM marketing at industry-leading companies. * La disertación sera en inglés. * Datos de conexión via Zoom https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87652249843?pwd=b293WEhMVEJJMUY3djh2SGc2Zkprdz09 ID de reunión: 876 5224 9843 Código de acceso: 122176 * * * * * Agenda: Jueves 3 de agosto de 2023, de 18:00 a 19:30, hora de Buenos Aires, Argentina (UTC-3) Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/367339
