PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

The main objective of this activity is to communicate the core values of the IEEE community, such as innovation, technology, and social impact, through a visual lens. Participants are invited to capture the essence of IEEE within the region.

The Three Categories
Before reviewing the submission rules, identify which category best fits your work:

  1. Scientific Photography: Focusing on the beauty of phenomena, research, and technological development.
  2. Social Responsibility: Highlighting community commitment, inclusion, and sustainable impact.
  3. Internal IEEE Collaboration: Celebrating the leadership, teamwork, and spirit of our volunteers.

Submission Guidelines
To ensure a high standard of professional and ethical quality, all entries must adhere to the following requirements:

  • Open to active IEEE student and professional members within Region 9.
  • Each participant may submit up to 3 original and unpublished photographs per contest.
  • Entries must be delivered in digital JPG or PNG format with high resolution.
  • Images may be captured via professional cameras or mobile devices. While basic adjustments to lighting, contrast, and color are permitted, excessive digital editing that alters the original content or scientific truthfulness is strictly prohibited.
  • Every photograph must include a title, a brief description (scientific, social, or collaborative context), and the name of the author or team.

Presentation & Recognition
The selected works will be showcased during the XXIX SBRM 2026 social and networking sessions, providing a platform to share the visual identity of our regional volunteers.
