Company Visits
As part of the event experience, students will have the opportunity to visit some of the most prominent companies in Jalisco’s tech ecosystem, including Intel and Oracle, which are global benchmarks in fields such as semiconductors, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and world-class technology development.
During the registration process, each participant will be able to select the company they are most interested in visiting, with a limit of one single option per student and subject to availability and capacity. Additionally, new visits to leading companies from other high-tech sectors in Jalisco will be added over time, further strengthening the connection between students, industry, and regional innovation.
Intel México
Intel’s Guadalajara Design Center (GDC) is one of the company’s premier innovation and technological development centers globally. Located in Zapopan, Jalisco, the center focuses primarily on the development and validation of datacenter technologies, as well as high-performance computing platforms. The site actively participates in silicon design and validation, architecture development, automation, artificial intelligence, and integration testing for next-generation processors and systems.
Furthermore, Intel Guadalajara collaborates closely with universities, government bodies, and the private sector to strengthen the technology and semiconductor ecosystem in Mexico and Latin America. Driven by a team of over 1,500 professionals and a robust culture of innovation, the center has contributed hundreds of inventions and multiple international patents, establishing itself as one of the most significant tech hubs in the region.
Oracle México
Oracle’s development center in Guadalajara stands as one of the company’s most important tech hubs in Latin America. With a team of over 2,500 professionals, the campus develops cloud solutions and enterprise technologies utilized by hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide. Located in Mexico’s so-called “Silicon Valley,” Oracle Guadalajara drives global initiatives in cloud computing, software development, technological infrastructure, and digital innovation, while fostering a highly collaborative environment centered on the well-being and professional growth of its teams.
A core pillar of the center is talent development and educational outreach. Through initiatives like Oracle Academy, Oracle promotes computer science skills and emerging technologies among students and universities. Notably, IEEE already enjoys access to Oracle Academy benefits, directly enhancing learning, training, and career development opportunities for students and members throughout the entire region.
Micron Technology Mexico
Micron Technology’s Engineering and Design Center in Guadalajara, Jalisco, established in 2024, represents a strategic extension of the company’s global network of product development and technology operations.
The Mexico site is dedicated to advanced memory technology development, primarily focused on dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) solutions, that contribute to Micron’s innovation roadmap in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence applications.
As Micron’s first engineering center in Latin America, the Guadalajara facility strengthens the company’s global product engineering capabilities through close collaboration with teams across North America and integration within a distributed innovation model aligned with worldwide research and development objectives.
Beyond its technical mission, the site reflects a strong commitment to the development of local talent. Through active collaboration with universities and direct engagement with the regional ecosystem, Micron is creating meaningful opportunities for students and professionals in Mexico to participate in cutting-edge semiconductor innovation. CINVESTAV Guadalajara
The Advanced Research Center of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), Guadalajara Unit, is a prestigious public research and graduate studies center founded in November 1988. It is part of the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV). Its main mission is to promote the technological development of the region and the country through cutting-edge research and the training of highly qualified human resources at the master’s and doctoral levels.
The unit specializes primarily in the fields of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. It offers Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs in five research areas: Computer Science, Automatic Control, Electronic Design, Power Electronic Systems, and Telecommunications.
