Mobility Summit 2025
Universidade Federal da Paraiba Cidade Universitaria, Joao PessoaThe 3rd Mobility Summit is the only event in Brazil dedicated exclusively to the area of electric mobility, consolidating itself as a reference in the sector. This year's theme is: "Sustainable Transformation: Innovation and Challenges for Electric Mobility" and aims to bring together speakers from several Brazilian companies, both private and government, since it is understood that in order to promote mobility, everyone must be engaged in the process, promoting the sharing of knowledge, experiences and innovations, as well as discussions, insights and challenges in the area. In addition to the in-person program, the event is broadcast live on CEAR's YouTube channel, expanding its reach and engagement.
The Spectrum spanning Quantum Computing to Fashion: Perspectives of a physicist artist!!
Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/285133Women in Photonics, Silicon Valley, in collaboration with IEEE Young Professionals (YP) and IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE), Miami section affinity groups are proud to present an event titled: "The Spectrum spanning Quantum Computing to Fashion: Perspectives of a physicist artist!!" We are delighted to have Dr. Kitty Y. M. Yeung as our speaker. She is a physicist, engineer, artist, fashion designer, maker and musician. She currently works as a Sr. Quantum Architect at Microsoft Quantum Systems. She's the producer of Microsoft's quantum learning materials, including the MS Learn quantum modules and the Quantum Learning website; author of comic series Quantum Computing & Some Physics; lecturer at HackadayU and Microsoft Reactor on Quantum Computing. To drive integration between science and art, she also founded a sustainable and STEAM fashion brand, Art by Physicist, and leads the Fashion Hack at Microsoft. Speaker(s): Dr. Kitty Y. M. The Multifunctional materials for emerging technologies, IEEE Distinguished Lecture
Santa Clara, California, United States, Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/286844This presentation focuses on structure property/relationships in advanced materials, emphasizing multifunctional systems that exhibit multiple functionalities. Such systems are then used as building blocks for the fabrication of various emerging technologies. In particular, nanostructured materials synthesized via the bottom-up approach present an opportunity for future generation low cost manufacturing of devices. We focus in particular on recent developments in solar technologies that aim to address the energy challenge, including third generation photovoltaics, solar hydrogen production, luminescent solar concentrators and other optoelectronic devices. Speaker(s): Federico Rosei, Santa Clara, California, United States, Virtual: https://events.vtools.ieee.org/m/286844
