AVISO: Debido a un problema de falta de disposición oportuna de fondos por parte del patrocinador principal del evento, quien no cubrió oportunamente los pagos anticipados que requería el hotel sede y la CREM 2025 debió suspenderse. Estamos todavía tratando de reprogramar el evento, con varios cambios, debido a los compromisos y preparativos que debimos cancelar. La CREM 2025 se está reprogramando para llevarse a cabo del 28 al 30 de noviembre en la ciudad de Xalapa, Veracruz, con varios cambios sobre el programa original, pero tratando de rescatar el espíritu original del evento y la cultura de integración que promueve el IEEE. Nuestro lema sigue siendo: "Un solo México, un solo IEEE". Sin embargo, dependemos todavía de nuestro patrocinador principal y del arreglo de detalles en la organización. Esperamos tener resuelto el tema del patrocinio para la primera semana de noviembre y estaríamos invitando las invitaciones correspondientes. Nos apena no haber logrado la propuesta original y pedimos disculpas por los cambios. Agradecemos su paciencia y comprensión y esperamos contar con su entusiasta participación. ___________________________________________________________________ La Cumbre de Ramas Estudiantiles Mexicanas IEEE 2025 es un evento dirigido a reunir a los representantes de las Ramas Estudiantiles del IEEE de todo México. La Sección Veracruz ha sido distinguida como anfitrión de este evento, que se ha programado para realizarse del 30 de octubre al 1° de noviembre de 2025 en la ciudad de Boca del Río, Veracruz. En 2025 la Sección Veracruz celebra su vigésimo aniversario, habiendo alcanzado en este punto una posición de liderazgo nacional y con presencia internacional visible en toda Latinoamérica. Es precisamente una de sus ramas estudiantiles la ganadora actual del Certamen de la Rama Ejemplar de IEEE Latinoamérica. Además de la Sección Veracruz, en México existen otras ocho secciones del IEEE que se agrupan o son coordinadas por el Consejo México del IEEE y una más que es independiente. Sin embargo, se espera la participación de representantes de las diez secciones mexicanas: - Sección Aguascalientes - Sección Centro-Occidente - Sección Guadalajara - Sección Guanajuato - Sección México - Sección México - Sección Monterrey - Sección Morelos - Sección Puebla - Sección Querétaro - Sección Veracruz El programa del evento incluye actividades de varios tipos: técnicas, administrativas y sociales. Uno de los fines primordiales es el entrenamiento o capacitación de los líderes de las ramas estudiantiles, para mejorar la organización y el funcionamiento de todos los grupos. Voluntarios expertos en cada uno de los temas imparten las sesiones garantizando aprendizajes, adquisición de habilidades y mejoramiento de actitudes para una mejor dirección de sus ramas. Otra de las características destacadas del evento es el networking o establecimiento de contactos o grupos de colaboración. Se generan proyectos e interacciones en general en muy diversas áreas temáticas. Finalmente, la parte social recibe atención especial, ofreciendo a los visitantes una muestra de la riqueza cultural de la ciudad y país sede. Se prevé música y un espectáculo especial en el tradicional Día de Muertos, que se aprovechará para realizar la fiesta del 20° Aniversario de la Sección Veracruz. Se espera contar con dos ponentes especiales que darán realce internacional al evento, así como la posible participación de autoridades internacionales del IEEE y el apoyo de las Sociedades Técnicas del IEEE. Veracruz Section Student Branches YP Meeting · Veracruz Section is hosting a meeting of all its student branches and also inviting other Mexican branches, to celebrate the XX Anniversary of the Section. · Within this event, we are planning this YP Meeting, with the aim of promoting YP membership and to expand initial efforts performed by one of our student branches to impulse YP Affinity Groups within every Student Branch. · In the meeting, we will take advantage of the networking circumstances established previously by the main event and we will capture the interest of potential YPs through talks and activities related to the most common needs of students near to graduation and those recently graduated. · To enhance the networking atmosphere, the YP meeting will include dinner, that will be held together with the event of the student branches meeting, to integrate the participants, although the expenses of the YP meeting will be covered separately. · A kit of souvenirs of the event will be given to each participant. Within the framework of Noche de las Estrellas 2026, the Women in Engineering (WIE) – IEEE UADY chapter joins the celebration with activities designed to bring science and technology closer to the general public, fostering curiosity, creativity, and participation among children, youth, and adults. Through talks, workshops, and interactive activities, we aim to show how science is part of our daily lives and how scientific thinking allows us to understand, imagine, and transform our surroundings. --------------------------------------------------------------- Talks Programming the Present, Building the Future: The Science of Change in Our Society Speaker: Aileen Monserrat García Cano Summary: Programming is present in phones, satellites, laboratories, and video games. This talk will show how the language of programming drives scientific research and technological development. Through practical examples, it will demonstrate that programming is not exclusive to experts, but an accessible tool to imagine, create, and transform our world.
