A new Brazilian GRSS Student Chapter is coming

A group of very motivated students from the Remote Sensing Graduate Program of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) is aiming to propose a new IEEE/GRSS Student Chapter. This initiative occurs exactly when UFRGS will complete 85 years of existence. The GRSS'Brazil Chapter wants to strongly support this application.

This initiative will join two other IEEE/GRSS Student Chapters in Brazil, the Campinas Student Branch and the Mato Grosso do Sul Student Branch. The Rio Grande do Sul Student Branch will be established in the city of Porto Alegre, the Capital of the Rio Grande do Sul State.

Long life and a lot of activities are wished for this new research group leaded and advised initially by Prof. Dr. Felipe Nievinski, Prof. Dr. Silvia Rolim and Dr. Marcos Tschoespke.
